Doug Wilson

Dr Doug Wilson is an Associate Professor in Transportation Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of the Transportation Research Centre (TRC) at Waipapa Taumata Rau – University of Auckland.
Doug is actively involved in teaching and research in transportation infrastructure, design, pavements and materials, sustainability, surface characteristics, road and transport safety, future transport systems and Intelligent Transport Systems. He leads research programmes in future transport technologies, transportation electrification and transport infrastructure materials, pavements and asset management systems.
Doug is a current Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) New Zealand Board Member and co-leads a NZ Transport Knowledge Hub on Resource Efficiency and Energy.
