Amy Strang graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2019 with her Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) specialising in Mechatronics. She is passionate about transport technology both on the ground and in the air, and has experience working in Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency’s Future Transport team and currently in Air NZ’s graduate engineering programme. She has also gained a variety of experience hosting and presenting at events including presenting at the 2019 ITSNZ T-Tech conference, attending the 2019 ITS World Congress Youth Leadership Development Programme, hosting a session at the 2020 FLINT Future of Work conference and presenting in the 2021 ITS Asia Pacific Forum.
Amy is a strong advocate for diversity having been an executive member of the UC Women in Engineering club, ambassador for the Engineering NZ Wonder Project, and leader of TUANZ Future Leaders in Tech (FLINT). She hopes that through her inclusion on the ITSNZ board, and in her role of Co-Chair YTP, she can help to encourage diversity in ITS industries in New Zealand.
