From a background in robust real-time control systems for nuclear fusion experiments, Chris was captivated by the hype around autonomous vehicles and AI. Having satisfied himself that the hype is real, he is now focussed on applying the latest computer vision developments to a wide range of exciting projects at Auckland Transport. The field is developing extremely fast; every year the performance improves and the list of potential applications expands. From safety to efficiently managing the transport network, computer vision is contributing to Auckland Transport's mission.
