Aug. 6. WLG & online. Ministry of Transport's Green Freight Working Paper
The Transport Knowledge Hub and ITS New Zealand are pleased to jointly host this event.
Time: 12.30-2.30PM, Thursday August 6th
Location: 3 Queens Wharf Wellington (Link for video livestream below)
The argument has been made for the electrification of New Zealand’s light vehicle fleet as a step towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector. Prior to the Green Freight project, however, there had been less emphasis at the Government level on how we address greenhouse gas emissions from our heavy vehicle fleet. The Green Freight project has looked into this, with a focus on how we support a transition to alternative green fuels. Working with industry, academia, the energy sector and New Zealand organisations leading the way in this space, the Ministry of Transport has developed a strategic working paper outlining a range of options to support a transition. We invite you to join us for a recap on the projects findings, and discussion on where to next.
