Jude is an aerospace professional with over 25 years’ experience of operating in safety critical environments. Jude joined Nova Systems in 2019 as the Programme Manager for New Zealand. Wellington based, he is responsible for managing Nova Systems’ programme of work in support of their NZ clients.
Born and educated in the UK, Jude served 18 years in the Royal Air Force before moving to New Zealand in 2013 where he entered the Royal New Zealand Air Force as an Engineering Officer. During Jude’s time in the RNZAF, he was privileged to work on many challenging and exciting projects including the introduction into service of the SH-2G(I) helicopter fleet, an acoustic systems upgrade to the RNZAF’s P-3K2 Orion’s, and development of the parliamentary submission that gained approval to purchase the Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft to replace New Zealand’s aging but still highly capable Orions. More recently, Jude was the CEO of The Vintage Aviator Ltd, manufacturing and operating WW1 aircraft built to original specifications.
At present, Jude is proud to be able to support MBIE, where he acts in the role of Programme Manager for New Zealand’s Airspace Integration Trials Programme.
Outside of work, Jude enjoys spending time at home on the Kapiti Coast with his wife and young daughter, as well as outdoor activities including mountain biking, snowboarding and flying light aircraft.
