Paul Minett has a lifelong interest in transportation, and twenty years relevant focus on the issues of reducing traffic congestion caused by commuters in SOVs. He has carried out research into flexible carpooling for UC Davis and the Transportation Research Board. He helped found the Ridesharing Institute to draw focus to the need for better understanding in this field. He is a thought leader in this field and has several articles and papers on the topic of innovation in commuter transportation. He earned his MBA from the University of Auckland. He is a consulting associate at Mineta Transportation Institute.
