Anish Khadka
PhD StudentUniversity of AucklandAnish Khadka is a PhD candidate in the Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering at the University of Auckland. He holds a Master’s degree in Transportation Systems from the Southeast University–Monash University Joint Graduate School. His doctoral research focuses on developing a traffic simulation model of New Zealand’s North Island road network to assess its resilience performance under disaster scenarios.

Supervised by Dr. Prakash Ranjitkar and Professor Seosamh Costello, Anish is passionate about leveraging simulation tools to support transport infrastructure planning, emergency response strategies, and long-term network resilience. His broader research interests include transport planning, policy development, and road safety. Through his work, Anish aims to contribute to data-driven decision-making in transport systems, helping to improve mobility, safety, and preparedness in the face of natural hazards.
