Aaron Pratley

Aaron Pratley is a seasoned digital leader and technology strategist with over a decade of experience driving innovation across public and private sectors in New Zealand. Currently serving as the Digital Domain Lead – Transport & IoT at Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Aaron is the single point of accountability for all digital platforms and IoT initiatives within the transport domain, leading strategy, implementation, and optimisation efforts.

His career spans key roles in digital transformation, product ownership, and infrastructure delivery, including leadership positions at the Ministry of Health, Education Payroll, and ANZ. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the development of My Covid Record, in response to the covid pandemic, and the EdPay system for school payroll.

Aaron brings a strong foundation in economics from the University of Otago, He is passionate about leveraging technology to deliver meaningful public outcomes, with a focus on strategic planning, customer experience, and agile delivery.
