Nathan King

Nathan is a systems engineer with a wide range of exposure to systems engineering and systems assurance activities. He specialises in the development and operation of high-integrity systems across rail, aerospace, and maritime domains. Currently working in the rail domain, he works as a part of the systems engineering and systems assurance team at Aurecon, working to deliver rail projects. Nathan currently provides systems engineering and Safety assurance services to a range of clients including the City Rail Link and KiwiRail. Key service offerings include requirements management, compliance management, and testing & commissioning support.
His career includes experience as an avionics technician with the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF), where he specialised in the maintenance and operation of aircraft systems. Nathan has also served as a systems engineer for both military and civil aircraft systems, including avionics and simulators, and most recently, he has focused on systems and safety engineering for flight-critical and mission-critical RNZAF software.

Nathan has an eMBA from Massey University and is currently working towards a Master of Systems Engineering at University of New South Wales.
