    Armin Guttke

    Armin graduated at Victoria University where he undertook a course of study in IT, e-Commerce, and psychology. This provided solid foundations for subsequent roles that he has undertaken in consulting, project delivery and team management.These roles have included working as a consultant for Fujitsu New Zealand, where Armin contributed to and managed a variety of projects including journey planning through the receipt of NZTA web feeds for New Zealand traffic cameras.

    Armin is currently engaged in a senior leadership and project management position at Inov8 Limited, with a key focus on the transport sector to deliver business benefits through the application of digital technologies and policy enablement for private enterprise and government clients.

    Armin takes an interest in sustainablity, as well as technology topics including the Internet of Things, AI and machine learning, big data for predictive analytics and their application for smarter cities and Intelligent Transport Systems.

    Armin has senior leadership experience in the transport sector, having worked for Fujitsu NZ, Innov8 and currently for NZ Police as a key member of the Mobility and Digital leadership team. Armin was instrumental to successful implementation of the New Zealand Research & Development Tax Incentive, supporting New Zealand business innovation.

    As Vice President – Membership, Armin chairs the ITSNZ board membership sub-committee and has advocated for a safer, more sustainable, equitable and efficient transport system on behalf of ITSNZ and its members. This has included running events, speaking at industry conferences, participation in government workshops, and policy submissions.

    Armin also co-founded and chairs YTP (Young Transport Professionals) with a vision to diversify the ITS industry and strengthen knowledge and collaboration across those starting out in it. To date YTP membership has grown to around 200 members nation-wide, positively attributable to ITSNZ, most notably from a youth and diversity perspective.
