Armin Guttke

Director – Membership

I currently serve in the role of Director – Membership for Intelligent Transport Systems New Zealand, leading our board’s membership committee. I also sit on the Events, T-Tech committees, including as head judge and convenor of our T-Tech ITS awards ceremony. Prior to this I served as Chair of the ITSNZ Young Transport Professionals (Te Waka Rangatahi), which I founded during my first year with ITSNZ.

Within this Directorship, I have worked with our board to connect, promote and advance our members. This has been reflected through events, T-Tech, and government engagement, as well as internationally through my contribution on the ITS Global Summit International Advisory Committee.

Outside of ITSNZ, I have held various private and public sector leadership roles with a regulatory and enabling technology focus. I am currently engaged at NZ Police leading mobility and digital projects. Prior to this I led projects for Toyota New Zealand and Waka Kotahi, and held other Director positions.

Effective governance and wider industry awareness are important to successfully lead ITSNZ into the future. I maintain membership with the New Zealand Institute of Directors, IT Professionals New Zealand, TUANZ, am a speaker at non-ITSNZ conferences, and a leader within the New Zealand Transport Professional Leaders group.
