Stephen Hewett is currently a senior consultant at Beca in the role of Business Director – Transport Advisory Global.
Stephen has over 35 years’ experience in all facets of transportation engineering including planning, design, operations and performance of our transport systems. In his current roles with Beca as Business Director, Senior Technical Director and Technical Fellow – Intelligent Transport Systems, Stephen is actively pursuing growth opportunities that are developing from advancements in transport technology and in the area of transport network optimisation. This has piqued his interest in future skills and training that will be required to take advantage of this technology.

Stephen was previously president of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) New Zealand, 2019-2021
