December 2nd, 2024 – Intelligent Transport Systems New Zealand (ITSNZ) announces the appointment of Armin Guttke to the role of Chair and President.
Mr Guttke succeeds Mike Rudge who left ITSNZ in November to join the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) Board after six years as a director including four as Chair.
Armin Guttke brings over 20 years of leadership experience to the role, with a well developed appreciation of technology, business, and the political challenges facing our transport sector. He has been a Director on the Board of ITSNZ for over 4 years, with key responsibilities for member engagement, promotion, and advocacy.
His experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, policy and advocacy will provide important governance and stewardship capability as ITSNZ continues to deliver value and advances on strategic outcomes for its members during a critical time of growth and change within the broader sector.
Mr Guttke says, “I am delighted to be appointed as Chair and President. I will continue working with the ITS New Zealand Board as well as our members to ensure we deliver on strategic and policy actions that achieve our long term objectives in supporting a more efficient, sustainable, inclusive, and safer transport system for New Zealand.”
