Andy Hooper

Andy is a transportation engineer with 23 years of experience encompassing traffic engineering and modelling; Intelligent Transportation Systems; and, network operations and performance. He has practical experience translating the findings of relevant research or adapting techniques from across disciplines and other industries to deliver practically useful outcomes.

He is currently a part-time Technical Advisor in Traffic Engineering and Optimisation with the Auckland System Management Alliance, guiding the Journey Optimisation Team to investigate and develop improved network intelligence to support NZTA and through innovative approaches to data analysis.
