Andy Prow

Andy Prow is a cyber-security veteran with over 30 years in the industry. Starting his career as a software developer he moved into cyber-security, helping to secure critical systems around the globe. As a repeat tech-entrepreneur Andy founded Aura InfoSec (which became one of NZ’s leading ethical hacking and penetration testing companies) and RedShield Security (which shields and protects 1,000s of critical web-apps and systems globally). His new company Qubit Cyber was the iSANZ “NZ Cyber-Security Start-Up of 2024”. Both via Qubit and his current PhD studies Andy focuses on Digital Safety, being “cyber-security for things that can actually do harm if hacked”, such as transport tech, med-tech, agri-tech, aviation, IoT, power, water and even space-tech.

Andy was inducted into the iSANZ “NZ Cyber-Security Hall of Fame 2023”, and sits on both the NZITF (NZ Internet Task-Force) Board, and the NZTech Board, where he Chairs the Digital-Safety Sub-Board.
