Armin Guttke

Chair/President

Armin Guttke has been a Director of ITSNZ since 2020, initially founding and chairing the New Zealand Young Transport Professionals (YTP) prior to taking up the role of VP/Director – Membership in 2022. He was appointed ITSNZ Chair/President in December 2024.

Armin focuses on connecting, promoting and advocating a better, smarter and more sustainable transport system on behalf of ITSNZ, its members, and the wider sector. This includes an active role in government engagement, as a convenor of TTech and its annual ITS awards ceremony, and in international ITS proceedings.

Outside of ITSNZ, Armin has held various private and public sector leadership roles with a regulatory and enabling technology focus, including most recently at NZ Police leading mobility and digital projects. He has also led projects for Toyota New Zealand and the New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, and held other private sector Director roles.

Armin is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors, IT Professionals New Zealand, TUANZ, the New Zealand Transport Professional Leaders group, and a regular speaker at local and international conferences.
