Dr Ferdinand Oswald

Dr. Ferdinand Oswald is a Senior Lecturer in Architectural Sustainability and Technology at the School of Architecture and Planning, University of Auckland. As an architect, and researcher, he brings significant expertise in circularity and building technologies. His primary research focuses on developing sustainable building systems, technologies, and products with a whole-lifecycle perspective. Dr Oswald advises on alternative materials and fixation methods and contributes to Life Cycle Assessment databases. He has earned several prestigious awards, including the “European Recycling Award 2015” and the “Innovation Prize Architecture and Building” at BAU Munich. Additionally, he holds several European patents.
