Dr Urie Bezuidenhout

Urie is a Professional Teaching Fellow and Consultant Transportation Engineer with +35 years consulting experience, primarily in transport planning and traffic engineering. He specialises in human factors and has pioneered the use of video-based eye tracking (SAFEye) to investigate driver psychology in New Zealand.

He is the founder of DaVinci Transport Planning and Research, and lectures transport engineering at an undergraduate and post-graduate level in geometric design, traffic engineering, transport planning and modelling, accident and economic analysis, and traffic modelling at Auckland University. His research won three awards at the UoA SPARK 100K challenge in 2011,2012 and 2013.
