Hayden Grant-Ussher

Hayden Grant-Ussher is a Principal in Digital Consulting at Beca, specializing in digital solutions within the engineering and asset management domain. With a strong background in digital transformation, Hayden was part of the original team that delivered the automated variable speed limits in 2017 as part of the Wellington Smart Motorway project. Over the years, Hayden has worked closely with WTOC to improve and optimize this automation solution. Currently, Hayden is collaborating with the Auckland System Management alliance (ASM) to explore further opportunities to enhance Auckland motorway operations using the same technology.

In addition to his work in transportation, Hayden works with public sector clients such as MBIE and MoT to deliver software as a service solutions, including the NZ Geotechnical Database and NZ Search and Rescue Database. This brings a broad experience in delivering and managing end to end digital solutions that deliver tangible benefits to clients.
