John Kinghorn

As the Transport Systems & Analytics Lead with Hamilton City Council, John oversees real-time operations, Intelligent Transport Systems, and transport data collection & analytics.
John’s primary role is to make it easier and safer for people to move around the city through the creation of effective and reliable transport systems.
He enjoys pushing the envelope in what can be achieved with smart transport systems and the use of data and Artificial Intelligence to better inform decision making and improve operations.
John is a chartered professional engineer, a member of Engineering NZ, and a committee member of the NZ traffic signals user group.
