Manager Service Network DevelopmentAuckland TransportPete is a transport planner with 18 years’ experience in developing public transport projects and systems. He is currently Manager of PT Service Network Development at Auckland Transport and he spends a lot of time advocating good PT practices across Auckland, a city facing many transportation challenges. Pete recently led AT’s work on Rapid Transit Network (RTN) station planning, looking to identify the key deficiencies in access to train and busway stations in Auckland.
Before joining Auckland Transport, Pete spent 10 years at Transport for London (TfL), developing a number of high profile projects in London, including the London end of High Speed 2. Pete was also a project sponsor for Crossrail 2, developing the design for five central London stations, leading a design team of Architects, engineers, transport planners and environmental experts.
Pete has acquired substantial experience in leading teams, public transport, land use integration and design, multi-modal interchange design, stakeholder engagement, transport appraisal, transport modelling, transport policy and working with transport data. In 2013 Pete was awarded the Transport Planning Professional qualification.
