Simon Young

Simon is the General Manager for the Transport and Infrastructure market in Australia and New Zealand as part of the Strategic Industries Development Group at Cisco. Simon is responsible for helping customers and partners define and deliver new digital businesses through innovative go-to-market models and technology engagement methodologies. Leveraging deep industry expertise and a clear digital transformation platform he is helping customers seize the opportunities of tomorrow by proving that amazing things can happen when connecting the previously unconnected.

Simon has driven transformational initiatives across various sales and engineering roles during his 18 years with Cisco including developing and leading the Internet of Things (IoT) business across Australia and New Zealand. Previously, he had also led the Connected Energy and Resources team and spent time developing solutions for the Service Provider market.

Before joining Cisco, Simon held several sales, consulting and engineering roles at a variety of System Integrators servicing customers in the Energy, Education, Retail, Banking, Gaming and Public Sector verticals. Simon received the Cisco Global Pan Asian Business Leader award in 2021 recognising his contribution in leadership, innovation and impact for Cisco.
