Stuart Scott

Stuart Scott has over 35 years’ experience in the management, development and implementation of advanced engineering programmes projects and services, in UK and internationally.

He has systems engineering and management skills across a wide range of industries, having worked in industries as diverse as shipbuilding and heavy machinery to advance software and systems development, mostly with a transport focus. Stuart leads the Intelligent Transport team within Mott MacDonald tackling everything from pre-feasibility through detailed design for construction to post-implementation evaluation.

Stuart’s recent work and interest has focussed around multi-modal transport options and the ways that technology can overcome the hurdles towards successful implementation, ensuring that travellers nudged towards sustainable options. Hand in hand with this Stuart has worked with transport authorities and operator to improve the resilience of the service offered.

A chartered engineer, Stuart is the Chair of Intelligent Transport Systems UK. Stuart is leading a review of ITS UK developing it as the voice of the transport technology sector providing a national platform to support the roll out of technology for a cleaner, safer and more effective transport network, both at home and abroad, through advocacy to policy makers, connecting people and organisations, promoting the industry overseas and supporting innovation across the intelligent transport ecosystem.
