Yun-Jun, Choi

Dr. You-Jun Choi received a Ph.D. degree in transport system engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology
(KAIST), Korea, in 2018.

From 2008 to 2010, he was a researcher in the KAIST Institute for IT Convergence (KIITC). Since 2011, he has been joined at Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH) as a senior researcher. His current research interests are V2X supported connected automated driving system, and infrastructure supported VRU safety system. He participated in the ITS World Congress and the International Standard Organizations in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) area as a leader of ITS R&D in Korea since 2014. In addition, since 2016, he has been involved in ISO/TC204 WG17 / SWG17.1 as convenor.

He has been also worked as a consulting director for introducing micro EV fleet for postal delivery service and automated shuttle for the postal delivery service in Korea Post since 2018.

In 2019, he was honored with a certificate from the Minister of Ministry of Science and ICT. Since 2017, he has participated in various Horizon 2020 research programs as a Korean coordinator with regard to the 5G based CCAM (Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility) topic including remote controlled vehicle, cybersecurity and network federation.
